Wo bin ich?                                                                                     Sehens- und Lesenswert

Hallo!

Eigentlich dachte ich ja immer, dass ich in meinem Wohnheim in Detroit relativ sicher war. Eine e-Mail, die ich vor ein paar Tagen bekam, überzeugte mich vom Gegenteil. Ein Auszug aus dem Crime Report:

"Incident # 1: Armed Robbery of building resident on May 15,

2002 at 11:15am INSIDE the UT apartment bldg.

A female UT resident reports she was walking to the

elevator on the 10th floor of the apartment building and

observed the below described subject/perpetrator standing in

the hallway. As the victim entered the elevator, the

perpetrator pulled a butcher knife and demanded the victim's

purse. The victim surrendered her purse and the perpetrator

stepped back allowing the elevator doors to close. The victim

rode the elevator down to the lobby where she reported the

incident to front desk personnel. The victim was uninjured.

Description of Perpetrator:

Black Male, 30 to 40 years of age, 6'0" tall, heavy build,

wearing a medium blue colored headband, dark blue

zippered jacket and dark colored pants. Last seen on

the 10th floor of the apartment building. No composite

sketch is available at this time.

Incident # 2: Burglary of University Tower Apartment Unit

during the early morning hours of May 16, 2002.

A male UT resident reports that beween 3:00am and 8:15am

on Thursday, May 16, 2002, unknown person(s) entered his

locked apartment unit and stole his wallet, television, and

VCR from the livingroom. No forced entry to the unit was

apparent. The resident reports he slept through the incident.

No description of the perpetrator(s) is available."

Falls innerhalb der nächsten Woche Bilder auf meiner Homepage verschwinden sollten, liegt das nicht an Eurem Browser oder Eurem Internet-Provider, sondern an meinem Internet-Host, der Puretec AG. Der hat mir soeben angekündigt, mir den kostenlosen Teil meines Speicherplatzes wegzunehmen und will natürlich mehr Geld sehen, wenn ich meine Bilder weiter speichern will.

Schon aus Prinzip überlege ich jetzt zur günstigeren STRATO AG zu wechseln. Im Moment habe ich aber nicht die Energie, die Umbauarbeiten durchzuführen. Deswegen wird die Homepage ein bißchen zur Baustelle.

Einigen habe ich´s ja schon erzählt. Wer noch nicht up-to-date ist:

Mich zieht´s nochmal ins Ausland. Wenn alles so läuft, wie ich´s mir vorstelle, werde ich ab Oktober in Strasbourg studieren. Studieren werde ich dort am Institut d´Etudes Politiques (oder einfach kurz: IEP).
